2002 was another exciting year for Limas as we continued to innovate and expand our scope of business. Local market trends have in recent years pointed towards the consolidation of the financial community, particularly in the securities brokering industry, with technology playing a vital role in this consolidation. In Indonesia, the implementation of Remote Trading was a strong indication of the government’s commitment to greater efficiency in the domestic securities industry. This milestone development resulted in increased demand for turnkey solutions capable of providing the infrastructure required for efficient trading and delivering real time financial information, both specialties of Limas.
As remote trading gains in popularity, the Indonesian capital market will in time become more liquid with greater numbers of securities houses as well as institutional and individual investors participating. The ability to perform real-time transactions in a secure environment via a user-friendly interface will become increasingly vital as more investors go online; and when that day comes, Limas will be there to provide the solutions they require.
In anticipation of increased demand, we have modified our flagship product, StockWatch® Terminal in such a way as to make it available to individual investors under the pay-per-view product StockWatch Retail
®. This powerful and flexible investment tool allows users to connect to the capital markets at anytime from any location, enabling them to monitor market movements and execute direct transactions efficiently.Our appointment by the Jakarta Stock Exchange as an Application Service Provider [ASP] in June 2002 authorized Limas to assist exchange members in their transition from manual order management to a more efficient automated process. Utilizing our brainware we plan to offer capital market participants a comprehensive and secure solution for all their investment needs from order placement to delivery, execution and confirmation.
